My New Obsession

Needless to say I SUCK at this whole blogging thing. I guess time isn't really on my side when it comes to sitting down and pouring out my rambles.
So...My New Obsession is actually a pretty old one....Doctor Who. WHERE has the doctor been my whole life? The show is just amazing.
I have only watched the new version (2005 - present) and I am just in LOVE!
The filming at times seems low budget, the acting is great and the writing is witty, clever and makes you laugh. One thing that wins me over, it's family friendly. No gore or unpleasant language, my 3 year old can sit and watch it and she isn't phased or scared of the weird alien creatures. The violence is also normally done off screen...which in itself is a relief since what is the point? I don't need to see someone get eaten alive or someone bludgeoned to death. I am currently getting caught up on the storyline so I am on my 2nd doctor - the tenth doctor in Who speak - and although I really had a fondness for Christopher Eccleston as the 9th doctor, David Tennant (10 doctor) has really WON my heart.
If you haven't though of watching Doctor Who, or thought about it but it seemed too silly...give it a try. You are sure to be pleased with the dialogue, character development, the personality of the doctor...I can go on and on! Plus, who wouldn't want to ride around in the Tardis?

Day 1

This evening I decided to start writing a blog. This isn't my first online blog and I adored my first one. It's long gone now, but the memories still remain.
I have been putting off doing this for a while, but decided tonight to just do it. So while the TV is on, work in the background and the dishwasher running I sit and I type.
Today I made curtains for one of my living room windows. I have no sewing machine (it's on a wishlist) so instead of using thread I realized I had some hemming tape and so I got out the iron and made the curtains. I love how they turned out. Simple and they add a touch of color to the room. I still need to fix a few places, but for now they are hung.
So, here it is the middle of January and I have yet to get fully back to the diet. I am a diet failure. Complete failure. Oh well....as long as my clothes don't start to get snug then I shall get back into the routine....SLOWLY!
